Hey folks, we want to thank you all for your continued support and we praise the Lord for it all. Here’s the update for this week:
Bring & Share
Last month (July) we didn’t have our Bring & Share because we had various events that required our catering (Youth Rally, Induction Service, and a Surprise Leaving Party) – we thought it would be better to give ourselves a break. We want to thank everyone for helping with the catering last month, the events would have been very different without your contributions.
On Sunday, just gone, we had the opportunity to have our Bring & Share. It’s always and awesome time where we can fellowship with one another and allow ourselves the chance of deepening our relationship with each other. We have had our Bring & Share every Third Sunday of the month, and we invite you to join us for them.
Prayer Evenings
We know that it’s right for us to pray individually, but it’s also significant for us to pray together. In light of this, we want to start prayer evenings once a month, where we will gather at the Church Building at 7:00 PM with the purpose of praying for and with one another. We aim to have it every Last Friday of the month starting this month (26th August – in other words, tonight).
We want to encourage the members and attenders of Downham Baptist Church to take part in praying with us – even if you’re unable to stay for the whole duration, we would love for you to come and pray with u anyway.
Baptism Service – Sunday 25th September
At the last Sunday of September (25th), we are going to have a baptism service for one of the teens in the church. It will be during the Worship Service (11:30 AM). Please join us and invite others to witness the event as it is a public declaration of the salvation that a person has received beforehand. If you are a Christian who has not been baptised but would like to be or would like to know more about baptism, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
This Weekend:
Saturday – Join us for our Community Outreach. We will be meeting at the Church Building for 11:15 AM, and we will be posting Gospel leaflets/Church invites to the houses in the immediate area.
Sunday – We are excited to worship the Lord together through prayer, singing, and the teaching of His word. Join us for our Small Groups at 10:30 AM and our Worship Service at 11:30 AM.

- The Snodes have reached the USA safely.
- God is in charge and in control of all things – even the difficulties in our individual lives as well as the church situation.
Prayer Requests:
- Wisdom and God’s guidance for the future of Downham Baptist Church.
- The growth and maturity of the church members and attenders.
- The matter of purchasing the Church Building (we currently rent).
