Weekly Update – 17/06/2022

Hey folks, it’s great to get back into the swing of things after having been on holiday. Here’s (hopefully) an update that’s more like the regular weekly updates:

Homework Club

Over the last two weeks, the number of children attending the Homework Club has dropped, but we remain optimistic, knowing that we are sharing the Gospel with these children – which means regardless of the numbers, seeds are planted. Having said that, please do keep this ministry (and those ministering) in your prayers, because we do want to be effective in what we do for the Lord.

Monthly Fellowship Groups

On Wednesday evening, we interrupted our Bible Study through the Book of Deuteronomy and, instead, we had our monthly fellowship groups. The men discussed “Biblical Manhood” (from 1 Corinthians 16:13-14) and the women discussed the subject of “Confession”. The monthly fellowship groups are a great opportunity to not only consider how the Bible impacts our daily living but also to grow closer to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. We invite you to join us for our Fellowship Groups every third Wednesday of the Month at 7:00 PM. Next week, we will be back to studying the Book of Deuteronomy.

This Weekend:

Saturday – Although it was not announced last Sunday, we do have our Community Outreach at 11:15 AM. We will be doing leafleting around the area. In the afternoon, the Snodes have given an open invitation to a BBQ at their place at 2:00 PM.

Sunday – We have our usual services this Sunday: Small Groups at 10:30 AM; Morning Service at 11:30 AM; and Evening Service at 5:00 PM. We invite you to come and worship with us, learn Scripture with us, and fellowship with one another as we have been commanded to in the New Testament.

Upcoming Events & Notices:

  • Guest Speaker this Sunday (19th June) – Paul Waller
  • Youth Rally – Saturday 2nd July – 12:00 PM @ Beckenham Place Park
  • Induction Service – Saturday 9th July

Notice: We want to inform everyone, that we shall be stopping our Evening Services, and that our last Evening Service will be at the end of this month (Sunday 26th June). By doing this, we aim to refocus and improve other areas of our ministries. We recognise that this may cause concern or confusion, and so we invite and encourage you to bring your questions and queries to us. We want to reassure you all that we are in no way giving up on preaching and proclaiming truth.

We love you all in the Lord, and pray that God would continue to uphold you, strengthen you, and cause you to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ric.
