Hey folks, how are you all? God’s good and He deals with us according to His goodness, so much so, that even though the last two years have been uncertain, the Lord has kept us through it. Here we are going into another month by God’s grace, and I’m thrilled to be able to give another weekly update.
Mother’s Day
We at Downham Baptist Church wish all the mothers out there a belated Mothers’ Day. On Sunday, we had a normal service, however, we were able to honour mothers in our congregation afterwards by giving away some chocolates.
Wednesday Night
Over the month of March, we had studied through the Book of Jonah and used it as a means of training preachers in our church.. It was a great study and a great opportunity to listen to some of the men in our church preach through it – Lord willing we will continue to train our men, and provide more preaching opportunities for them in the near future. Since we have finished the Book of Jonah, we will be starting the Book of Deuteronomy next week. We invite you to come and learn about it with us on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM, which will be followed by our church prayer meeting.
This Weekend
On Saturday we have our Community Outreach at 11:15 AM. Since we have Easter coming up in the middle of the month, we will be handing out our Easter Tracts/Leaflets. If you are able to, come along and help us to give out these invites.
On Sunday, my family and I are away speaking at another church, however, we still have our usual services: Small Groups at 10:30 AM, followed by our Morning Worship at 11:30 AM, and then our Evening Worship at 5:00 PM.
