Hey folks, this is going to be the final Weekly Update of the Year, as we will be taking a break over the holiday period – and on that note, I just want to give another quick reminder that in the new year, the Weekly Updates will become Monthly Updates. With all that in mind, here’s an update of the things here at Downham.
Update On Saturday Prayer Mornings
For the whole month of December, we have not had our Community Outreach on Saturday mornings for two reasons: 1) the weather has been a hindrance, and 2) we are designing new tracts/invites to print for the coming year. However, we have been mindful to encourage the saints at Downham to share the gospel on a daily basis despite not having Community Outreach.
What we’ve been doing, instead, is meeting up at our place on Saturdays at 10:30 in the morning for a time of prayer. I am blessed to see a growth in the desire to pray, and may we by God’s grace continue to grow in it. Last week, we had a great time of prayer with one another, followed by lunch and a Christmas Movie.
What’s Happening Over The Christmas Weekend?
Saturday – We don’t have Community Outreach (as mentioned above) but we do have a Prayer Morning at our place at 10:30 (also mentioned above).
Sunday – Since this Sunday is Christmas Day, we will have a change in our Service Times. We DO NOT have Small Groups, and the Service will be starting at 11:00 AM, and not the usual time of 11:30 AM.
