Weekly Update – 04/02/2022

Hey folks, I hope that you are all well. I just want to share a small bit of encouragement before this week’s update. This week, I have been reminded of God’s goodness, and how we live in the world that should be much worse because of sin, but because of His goodness to us, we can enjoy life in a fallen world while looking forward to the restoration the God has promised with the coming again of the Lord Jesus. Brothers and sisters, let’s rejoice that God in His goodness gives us joy and pleasure in a world that’s hard to live in. Here’s our weekly update.

The Snodes have been away this week on a much needed short holiday. They’ll be back at some time later on (Friday night). Sam’s been awesome at work this week at Colchester on Tuesday and teaching us on Wednesday night.

Wednesday Night Meetings:

On Wednesday evening, Sam finished up our study through the Book of Revelation. It has been an awesome and blessed suited together. We’ve learned about God’s plans and purposes for human history and how everything culminates with the return of the Lord Jesus and how He brings about a full rescue of the world. If you have missed any of the studies, we have them on our YouTube channel, please feel free to catch up or re-watch them.

We will be starting a short series on Wednesday nights on “Prayer” and alongside that, we’re starting up our Wednesday night Prayer Meetings. This means that we’ll split the Wednesday night meetings with 30 mins of Bible Study followed by 15-20 mins of group prayer. We believe that the Bible teaches us that we should pray for each other and with each other and that’s something we want to start doing.

This Weekend:

On Saturday, we have Bible Institute at 9:00 AM. I’ve just finished teaching on the “Doctrine of Sin”, and will be starting the “Doctrine of Salvation”. Travis will be continuing to cover “Teaching the Bible”. We have our Community Outreach at 11:15, and Jeff is leading the Youth on a Youth Outreach in Bromley Town Centre. Please pray that God will give us opportunities to witness to people and that we would reach others with the Gospel.

On Sunday, we have usual services. We have our Small Groups at 10:30 AM, followed by our Morning Worship Service at 11:30 where we are going through the Paul’s Letter to Titus; our Evening Worship Service is at 5:00 PM where we are continuing to go through the Books of the Bible, going through the narrative of Scripture which points us to Jesus. Come along and worship the Lord with us.

Other Upcoming Events & Notices:

  • Wednesday 9th Feb – Bible Study and Prayer Meeting at 7:00 PM – New Series: Prayer.
  • There’s no Men’s and Ladies’ Fellowship on the third Wednesday of this month (Feb.), but we will have our usual Midweek Bible Study.

That’s all for now. We love you all in the Lord, take care and have an awesome day.

Ric.
