Hey folks, I hope that you have enjoyed the week so far, but moreover, I hope that the pleasures and enjoyments you’ve all experienced has given you cause to rejoice in our generous Father. Here’s an update of things:
Youth Outreach
On Saturday just gone, Jeff organised for the youth to go to Bromley Town Centre and witness to people either through the handing out of Gospel literature or engaging people in conversation. Not only did we share the gospel, but as a result, the youth are excited and keen to improve their skills in witnessing to people. We are hoping to start evangelism classes for them once a month and alongside that, we are hoping to go out to Bromley Town Centre with them again next month. Please pray that the Lord would bless these plans.
Wednesday Night
On Wednesday evening, Travis began our short series on “Prayer”, which will be the focus of our Midweek Bible Studies for this month. We also lengthened our prayer time after the study, and the youth joined in as well. The Bible teaches us to pray together as a body of believers and we are excited to put that into practice more and more.
This Weekend
On Saturday we have our Bible Institute at 9:00 AM. Travis will be teaching on the first hour on the subject of “Teaching the Bible” followed by an hour of “The Doctrine of Salvation” with me. After this, we have our Community Outreach at 11:15 AM. We invite you to come along and join us if you are able to.
On Sunday we have our usual services: our Small Groups at 10:30 AM, followed by our Morning Worship at 11:30 AM, and our Evening Worship 5:00 PM. For our Small Groups, we will joining up with the whole Church for a session on the “Diaconate” – we want to help everyone understand what a deacon is, what a deacon is to be, and wha a deacon does, in preparation for when we take a vote on appointing one of the men in the church as a deacon at the end of the month.
