Christmas Offering to Help the Addicted

Every year at Christmas, we like to do something as a church to be a blessing to others. This year, we are taking up a special offering to help Layton and Clare Kelly and the New Hope Residential Centre in Dublin, Ireland.

God delivered Layton from a life of addiction many years ago. He and his family now work full-time to provide a residential centre for others who want to come off addictions as well. Not only do the residents get help with their addictions, but many of them come to faith in Christ through the Bible-teaching ministry of the centre.

Normally, the residents do bag-packing in supermarkets over the Christmas period to raise funds to support the centre. This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, they are unable to do that. They are also not government funded, so they rely on churches and individuals to fund the entire programme.

Would you pray about what you can give this Christmas to help this very important ministry? I have known Layton for many years and personally vouch for his leadership, character, and vision. I have also met several of the people whose lives have been changed by this ministry. It is a worthy and exciting investment.

To give, just mark your donation “Christmas Offering” and everything designated that way will go to the Kellys. For ways to give, go here.
