Weekly Update – 21/10/2022

Hey folks, grace and peace to you all. We’ve had a fairly quiet week, so there’s not much to update on, but nonetheless, here’s what’s happened at Downham Baptist Church this week.

Monthly Fellowship Groups

Every month (every third Wednesday of the month) we have our Men’s Fellowship and Women’s Fellowship instead of our weekly Bible Study. In these fellowships, we have a great opportunity to learn with each other, grow in our knowledge of God and one another, and pray for one another. We had an awesome time blessing and being blessed by one another. We’re looking forward to our next Fellowship Groups in November (16th November), but until then, we’re excited to continue our Wednesday Night Bible Studies through the Book of Deuteronomy.

Autumn Festival

The Autumn Festival is fast approaching. We invite you to take part in it by praying for a successful outreach, and by coming along and bringing unsaved friends and family. Our aim is to make our presence more known in the immediate community and to deliver the Gospel Message to them at every opportunity we can find.

This Weekend:

Saturday – As always, we have our weekly Community Outreach where we will be giving out leaflets and tracts to the people in the neighbourhood – come and join us at 11:15 AM at the Church Building. At 1:45 PM, we have our Church Fellowship that our Deacon, Jeff, has organised. We’re meeting at Beckenham Place Park, however, if the weather’s inconvenient, then the Church Fellowship will be at the Church Building.

Sunday – We’re excited to gather together that we might worship as a group of believers. Join us for our Small Groups at 10:30 AM, followed by our Worship Service at 11:30 AM.

Prayer Requests:

  • The Quinn Family as they begin their work in Colchester.
  • For more labourers here in Downham.
  • The events we have for this month.

That’s all for now, folks. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read, and thank you for your continued support in prayer. We love you all in the Lord.

Ric
