Hey folks, before we get into the update for this week, I would like to take this time to remind us all (myself included) that God is good, which means that all that He does is good, and all of His dealings with us are good, according to His goodness. With that in mind, let’s be mindful that all that we go through – both good and bad – are in the hands of a good God who can mean it for good in our lives. What a great God we have. Here’s the update for us this week:
Prayer Week
Since Monday night, we have gathered for an hour at the church building so that we could spend time in prayer. We have enjoyed our Prayer Week, and we look forward to our final night of prayer tonight (Friday) from 7:00-8:00 PM. If you are able to, we invite you to enter the Throne of Grace to worship our God and lay all our cares before the One who cares for us.
Homework Club
By God’s grace we started the Homework Club three weeks ago, and we have seen the hand of God work in bringing children from the community in that they may both do their homework as well as hear the good news of Jesus dying to save them from their sins. Please pray that God would use this work and strengthen those ministering to the children.
This Weekend:
Because of COVID-19, we have not been able to have our Missions Conference for the last two years. We thank the Lord, that by His grace, this year we do have our Missions Conference which will be this weekend (14th-15th May) at Downham Baptist Church. We invite you to join us for this free event, and bring a friend or two along with you. Our aim is to help Believers know and be reminded of our involvement in Biblical Missions. If you are unable to join us for the whole weekend, don’t worry, you are more than welcome to join us for just the Saturday or just the Sunday.
Here’s the Timetable for the Missions Conference:
Saturday 14th May
- 2:00 PM – Start (introduction activities)
- 2:30-3:10 PM – NTM Students Devotion and Testimonies
- 3:30-4:30 PM – Outreach at Bromley Town Centre
- 5:00 PM – Meal time
- 6:00 PM – Sermon/Message
- 6:45 PM – Time of prayer
Sunday 15th May
- 10:30 AM – Sermon/Message
- 11:30 AM – Sermon/Message
- 12:30 PM – Bring & Share – please stick around after the service and join us for a meal and fellowship.
