Hey folks, how are you all this week? Thank you so much for your continued support for us through the reading of these updates and for praying for us at Downham Baptist Church. We are truly blessed to be a part of God’s family – a people who love one another. We love you all in the Lord, and we praise the Lord for your love towards us as well. Here’s an update of things.
Last weekend, we were thrilled to hear the news of Beau and Jasmine’s baby being delivered. They have a little daughter called, Eden. Praise the Lord. Let’s keep praying for them, and let’s endeavour to bless them and help them in whatever way we can. They are sure to have some needs that we can meet. We look forward to seeing them when they have settled and are able to get themselves out and about. Beau and Jasmine, we love you both in the Lord.
We also had Katharina’s mum (Ulrike) stay with us. She was truly blessed to have had the opportunity to fellowship with us for our Sunday Services (Morning and Evening), as well as our monthly Bring & Share. She said that she felt very welcomed, and didn’t feel like a stranger to us; she was glad to have met the folks at Downham.
On that note, I just want to say how encouraged I am to see the love of our Lord Jesus in you all. I desire to see you all continue in this love, and to grow more in this love.
On Tuesday, Travis and Teri set off for their week and a half trip around Europe with another missionary couple, as a means of doing a joint celebration of their anniversaries. We thank the Lord for Travis and Teri (and their children – we can’t forget about them), for how they have tirelessly served here. Let’s pray for Travis and Teri as they travel, that the Lord would keep them safe, and that they would be refreshed.
On Wednesday, we had our Mid-Week Bible Study where Sam took us through Revelation 13. We are steadily getting through the Book of Revelation, and we look forward to continue learning what the Lord would teach us from His Word.
Here’s our schedule for the weekend:
On Saturday (tomorrow), we have our weekly Bible Institute from 9-11 AM. We are continuing our studies on the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit and Biblical Missions. This is all followed by our weekly Community Outreach at 11:15 AM. We want to thank you all for you efforts in walking in obedience to the Lord though the sharing of the Gospel.
On Sunday, we have our Small Groups at 10:30 AM, our Morning Worship Service at 11:30 AM, and our Evening Worship Service at 5:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you there.
Here are some things to make note of in your diaries:

- Nov. 7th – Teachers/Volunteers Training (9:45 AM)
- Nov. 14th – Membership Class (after the service)

Please pray for Katharina and I as we will be in Sunderland for a few days next week. Grace and peace to you all.
