Weekly Update – 15/10/2021

Hey folks, greetings in the Lord Jesus. Grace and peace to you all. We thank the Lord for you all, and we also thank the Lord for the opportunity to live for Him and do the work of the ministry. This week hasn’t been as busy as previous weeks, we’re glad for times of ease and rest, but nonetheless, here’s a bit of an update.

On Wednesday, we had our weekly Bible Study at 7:00 PM. We’re continuing to learn more about what God has in store for the whole world in the Book of Revelation.

Today (Friday), Travis and Grant come back. Travis was in the US, and Grant was in Burkina Faso for a Missions Trip. We thank the Lord for them and we rejoice in how the Lord has given them opportunity to minister elsewhere for a period of time. I would also like to give a reminder that the deposit for the Winter Retreat is due today.

Here are things happening this weekend:

On Saturday, we have our Bible Institute at 9:00 AM, where Sam and I will be continuing our lessons on the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit, and Biblical Missions. Then, at 11:15 AM, we have our weekly Community Outreach; if you are able, come and join us in ministering the gospel to our community at Downham. On Saturday evening, the men have a Men’s Meal at Bromley. We are planning to meet at the Bird and Bun at 7:00 PM for food and fellowship. It’s an awesome opportunity for the men to stir one another up and to provoke each other to love and good works.

On Sunday, we have a Members’ Meeting at 10:00 AM before the services. If you are a member of Downham Baptist Church, please come along as we discuss church-related topics. Then we have our Small Groups at 10:30 AM, followed by our Morning Worship Service at 11:30 AM. Please join us and come worship with us for those services, as well as the Evening Worship Service at 5:00 PM.

Here are a few things to note in your diaries/calendars:

  • Men and Ladies’ Fellowship – Wednesday 20th October at 7:00 PM.
  • Winter Retreat – 7th-9th January 2022.

We love you all in the Lord. Have an awesome and blessed weekend.

Ric
